Nestled in the hills of the Presidio, this former site for the San Francisco Marine Hospital has been transformed into a thriving preschool serving children ages 2-5. Miller Company worked with architect Zack de Vito and the Presidio Trust to incorporate the historic preservation of the two buildings, originally built in 1932. The new design includes native plantings, ADA accessibility, and a fully fenced in play area that features a miniature ship, sugar shack, hillside slide, and a learning garden full of flowers and vegetables. The school, which opened in 2015, is LEED Silver certified.
