Dahlia Garden at Golden Gate Park San Francisco, CA

Miller Company was commissioned to redesign the hillside garden of the much beloved Dahlia Garden in Golden Gate Park. Our team worked closely with the Dahlia Society of California volunteer gardeners, SF Parks Alliance, and SF Recreation and Park gardening staff to design new terracing, irrigation, tool storage, and a dedicated area for visitor portrait photographs. The garden, which is free to the public, is tended by the members of the Dahlia Society who grow hundreds of varieties of dahlias for their beauty, competitions, hybridization, and education. The renovation project was sponsored by a generous gift provided by Stasia Obremskey. The peak blooming season for dahlias occurs in August.
