Clementia Commons/Wolff House Assisted Living
Clementia Commons - Wolff House San Francisco, California
Clementina Commons brings together several public agencies with a non-profit senior housing developer to create a Senior Campus at 4th and Howard Streets, adjacent to San Francisco's Yerba Buena Cultural Center. The project includes the newly-constructed 9-story Eugene Coleman Community House, the Woolf House apartments, and the Clementina Towers. Together these buildings provide nearly 700 units of senior housing on a landscaped campus accessible to all residents.
Miller Company provided landscape master planning and design for the project, with new landscape treatments for Clementina Towers, a renovated courtyard garden for Woolf House, and a courtyard for the new Eugene Coleman Community House. We have created a campus environment that links the landscape of the three senior facilities to offer increased outdoor amenities for the users. This includes several plaza areas, new community courtyards, raised gardens, and exercise spaces. New parking facilities, ornamental fences, gateways, lighting, and accessible ramps also provide improved security and accessibility.
Our team has worked closely with area residents, staff from TODCO Development Company, the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, the San Francisco Housing Authority, the Mayor's Office of Housing, and a dedicated team of consultants to bring these plans to fruition.
